DAVE GROHL
Dave Grohl was born David Eric Grohl on January 14th,1969 in warren Ohio. Had a journalist father and an English teacher mother. He was a child actor and started playing guitar when he was 12 in local bands doing covers of Beatles and Rolling Stones. Bla bla bla one of his many bands lost their drummer so Dave took to the skins practising on pillows.
When Gohl was 17 he joined the DC band scream. In 1990 during their European tour Scream fell apart. Grohl out of the band joined Nirvana through mutual friend Buzz Ozbourne. This was the beginning of a legend. The band broke through with Nevermind. All three of them couldn't believe their fame. They never intended to play in fornt of audiences the size in which they did. Due to a lot of things trying to cope with fame and his stmoach ulcar Kurt began to head downwards. Dave and krist told him to clean up his act. You know the result,this decade greatest tragedy in music. Only months after Cobains death Grohl started recording Foo Fighters. A solo project where he played all the instruments himself. He was only meant to press release 10,000 copies but after renewing his friendship with Pat Smear with the mixing of Nirvana's Unplugged they decided to start a band. Then Nate Mendel and William Goldsmith from Sunny Day Real Estate were looking for a band and the Foo Fighters were born. They toured then toured some more. Finally in 1997 they recorded The Colour And The Shape. Hits like Monkey Wrench,My Hero and Everlong ensured a good fan base. Then William left the band and Taylor Hawkins (ex Alanis Morrisette drummer and ex Mother Tongue drummer) stepped in. At the MTV music awards guitarist Pat Smear left the band and was replaced by Franz Stahl who played in Scream. The Foo Fighters are sure to keep on rocking.

]Well what can I say. Kurt was born on February 20th 1967in the town of Aberdeen. He was a happy child but that happy world came crashing down when his parents divorced and he was shoved from relative to relative. He hung out with fellow school mates who were rejected by the mainstream population. They would listen to rock music and smoke pot. He obtained a cheap guitar and started playing covers from many bands. Kurt was then introduced to punk rock. He fell in love with it and met Krist Novoselic who was also obsessed with it.
For a period Kurt was a roadie for the Melvins. Kurt and Krist (then Chris) started a band going through names such as Window Pane, Fecal Matter, Pen Cap Chew, Ed Ted Fred and finally Nirvana.With drummer Chad Channing they recorded Bleach with Sub Pop nad needed $606 to record it so in came Jason Everman with the money and credit as second guitarist though he never played a damned note. But he did tour with them for a month. Chad then left the band on goodd terms and Grohl came in after they saw him play at a Scream gig. Nirvana recorded Nevermind and sky rocketed to stardom. The grunge scene was alive. In Feb 92 he married Courtney Love in Hawaii. On 18th August Frances Bean was born. 1992 was the start of Kurt's downfall. He was using heroin to cope with the fame and attention he was getting and the stomach ulcer he had had since a child. Kurt also suffered Chronic Bronchitis. The band released Incesticide . After this they recorded In Utero (originally titled 'I hate Myself and I Want To Die'). Geffen were not happy with it saying it was to rough. The Album was an instant success although the band tried to lose a lot of their core audience. But Kurt's talent for song writing was too strong. Pat Smear from Ther Germs started touring as second guitarist for the touring of In Utero.
Kurt was in a drug induced negative and depressed state of mind that he could not escape. In the middle of their European tour Nirvana pulled out and Kurt checked in at Exodus Recovery centre to combat his drug problem. Kurt left and was not seen for days. His Mother filed a missing persons report. On April 8th and electrician hired to install a new security system found the body of Kurt Cobain on the floor of his garage apartment with a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head. GRUNGE WAS DEAD
